Arts in Education is a long-standing priority for PTA, and working to incorporate the arts into daily learning contributes to growth and education of the whole child. Visit Allen ISD Council of PTAs or Texas PTA for more information on Arts in Education programs.

Reflections has been a staple arts program in many schools for nearly 50 years. Through the efforts of our Local PTAs, millions of students have found a creative outlet in the areas of dance choreography, film production, literature, music composition, photography and visual arts.

With positive recognition as the focus of this program, rather than competition, students of all ages and abilities can experience the benefits of creative expression and help in finding their own voice in telling their unique story using a new theme each year. For 2020-2021, the theme is "I Matter Because...." Please visit the Texas PTA Reflections page for more details.

ArtSparks is an art appreciation/visual literacy program designed by the Allen Arts Alliance. The program brings trained volunteers into local classrooms, giving the children the opportunity to interact with and explore great works of art, participate in an engaging discussion, and reinforce concepts with related enrichment/hands-on activities. The program is free to AISD schools.
